Police Scene 5/14/17: Pickpocketed in a bus and cellphones grabbed from store

The City of Rockville Police department reported a variety of incidents this week:

In the 700 block of Azalea Drive, jewelry, a wallet and credit cards from a residence between 04/29/17-05/08/17.

In the 200 block of North Stonestreet Avenue, an office was entered through an unlocked front door between 05/05/17-6:00 p.m. and 05/09/17-9:00 a.m. Once inside, a locked closet was entered by unknown means and clothing was taken.

In the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, a vehicle was taken between 05/07/17-8:34 p.m. and 05/09/17-4:00 p.m.

At South Stonestreet Avenue and Croydon Avenue, while riding a bus, an unknown subject removed a cell phone from his pocket on 05/08/17 at 9:12 p.m.

In the 5900 block of Ridgway Avenue, someone removed U.S. currency and credit/debit cards from a purse, that was in an unsecured classroom closet on 05/09/17 between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

In the 700 block of Rockville Pike, an unsecured cell phone was taken from a storage bin at a recreational facility on 05/10/17 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

In the 1600 block of Rockville Pike, the suspect entered the business on 05/12/17 between 2:52 p.m. and 2:53 p.m. and proceeded to a display, where he forcibly removed two cell phones. The suspect then fled out the store and was last seen running north on Rockville Pike. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 24 years old, 5’11”, 170 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, mustache, goatee, medium dark brown skin tone. Last seen wearing black
wool winter cap, blue jeans, and gray hooded jacket.

ARRESTS

On 05/07/17 at 1:34 a.m., a male, age 31, was arrested for violating an ex-parte/protection order, following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of King Farm Boulevard.

On 05/08/17 between 6:56 a.m. and 7:01 a.m., a male, age 27, was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct, following an incident that occurred in the 700 block of Rockville Pike.

On 05/08/17 between 5:50 p.m. and 5:55 p.m., a male, age 24, and a female, age 18, were arrested for second degree assault, following an incident that occurred in the 1000 block of Edmonston Drive.

On 05/08/17 between 7:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m., a female, age 18, was arrested for disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment, following an incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Rockville Pike.

On 05/09/17 between 10:09 p.m. and 10:25 p.m., a male, age 29, was arrested for possession of CDS-paraphernalia and possession of CDS-cocaine; and a female, age 21, was arrested for possession of CDS-paraphernalia and possession of CDS-Clonazepam, following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Virginia Drive.
