Police Scene 6/29/17: Clean Thieves and Watch Your Stuff at the Pool

This week’s Rockville Police Report is a little early.

Another pool incident

300 block of Martins Lane, three unknown suspects removed a cell phone from unattended belongings while the victim was in the pool on 06/29/17 between 6:20 p.m. and 6:36 p.m. The suspects are described as #1 a black male, 5’6”, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, dark brown skin tone; #2 a black male 5’6”, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, dark brown skin tone; and #3 a white Hispanice male 5’6”, heavy build, short black hair.

Business incidents:

1500 block of Rockville Pike, an unknown subject entered the business on 06/27/17 between 9:50 a.m. and 9:52 a.m. The complainant began to follow the suspect, due to the suspect’s previous behavior while in the store. The suspect confronted the complainant and then assaulted him. The suspect then fled on foot out of the store. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 35 years old, 6’0”, 195 pounds, medium build, brown eyes, short black hair, beard, medium skin tone, wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white sneakers.

1500 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that four unknown subjects entered the business on 06/28/17 at 5:10 p.m. The suspect removed four tote bags and began filling them with several body wash products. The suspect then fled the store. On 06/28/17 at 5:22 p.m., police received a complaint in the 1800 block of Rockville Pike for four unknown subjects who entered the business carrying four tote bags. The suspects began removing several laundry detergent products, as well as several bottles of body wash. The suspects fled out the store towards the Twinbrook Metro Station. The suspects are described as: #1 black male, 5’9”, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, dark brown skin tone wearing: white T-shirt with black on top of shoulders, black jeans; #2 black male, 5’9”, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, dark brown skin tone wearing black sunglasses, white shorts, black shirt; #3 black male 5’9”, thin build, brown eyes, black afro, medium brown skin tone wearing black jeans, red shirt; and #4 black male, 5’9”, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, light brown skin tone wearing blue jeans, black shirt.

Residential incident

200 block of Reading Terrance, someone attempted to gain entry into a residence by trying to pry open a rear window on 06/27/17 at 4:39 p.m. No entry was made.

Vehicle

1400 block of Langbrook Place, someone removed a purse containing U.S. currency, credit/debit cards, a driver’s license and miscellaneous papers from a vehicle between 06/24/17-6:45 p.m. and 06/25/17-10:00 a.m.

5900 block of St. Lo Avenue, the complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a pair of designer sunglasses from a vehicle between 06/28/17-1:30 p.m. and 06/29/17-7:50 a.m.

ARRESTS

On 06/25/17 between 11:18 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., a male, age 71, was arrested for possession of CDS-crack cocaine, following an incident that occurred in the 16000 block of Shady Grove Road.

On 06/28/17 between 11:17 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., a male, age 26, was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, following an incident that occurred in the 800 block of Rockville Pike.

On 06/28/17 at 2:19 p.m., a male, age 54, was arrested on a warrant for motor vehicle theft, unauthorized removal of property, and theft, following an earlier incident that occurred between 06/04/17 and 06/06/17 in the 1600 block of Crawford Drive.
